Battleship North Carolina: Azalea Coast Amateur Radio Club, Museum Ship’s Weekend

June 1, 2013 - June 2, 2013

The Azalea Coast Amateur Radio Club will operate on board the Battleship North Carolina as one of 63 ships participating worldwide in the Museum Ships Weekend. On this annual event, HAM radio operators will communicate and transmit via voice using the ship’s original radio equipment. Two modern stations will be operating through the ship’s original cabling and antennas on 40 and 20 meter SSB (voice communications). There is also a potential for CW operation (Morse code) on 40 or 20 meters using the ship’s original TDM-4 and TDE transmitters and RBC receivers. Visitors will enjoy meeting club members and watching them receive contacts from around the world. Free with Battleship admission.
