Information on the Naval Historical Foundation's
Document Reproduction Service

Document Reproduction

Document reproduction involves copying documents, not protected by copyright or security classification, which are held by The Navy Department Library or the various branches of the Naval Historical Center. Items may include, but are not limited to, cruise books, ship's histories, and operational and equipment manuals.

How to Obtain Document Reproductions:

Please contact the Naval Historical Foundation Historical Services by telephone, FAX, E-Mail photos@navyhistory.org or in writing to obtain an estimate for your document reproduction request. Please be as specific as possible when providing information about what services you require. Payment can be made by Check or Money Order payable to the Naval Historical Foundation in U.S. Dollars, or by Visa, Mastercard or American Express.

Normal turn-around time is two to three weeks. Faster service is available at additional cost. Please contact us if you need faster service and/or have a specific need-by date.

Please note:

Any publications which hold a valid copyright cannot be reproduced by Historical Services. In addition, there are certain materials contained in the Naval Historical Center's collections which are still classified. These materials cannot be obtained through Historical Services. Further, most personal information about current and former members of the armed forces must be obtained through official government sources.
