The Perilous Fight, Or, The War Of 1812 In Ballad And Anthem

March 8, 2012 @ 7:30 pm

Experience the War of 1812 In the words of those who were there.

Francis Scott Key and other figures from the past spring to life to honor the heroes, both sung and unsung, who endured our young nation’s struggle with Great Britain. Using stage effects from an earlier time, New Old Theater has devised a fast moving world premier spectacle compiled from patriotic songs, poetry, and plays relating to the War of 1812. The iconic moment of the war—the bombardment of Fort McHenry that inspired The Star- Spangled Banner—is depicted with a moving panorama on stage during the thrilling finale!

Admission: pay-what-you-will (open dress rehearsal)
