OpSail 2012 – New Orleans

OpSail2012In 2012, Operation Sail will once again bring the glory of tall ships to the American seaboard to celebrate the bicentennial of our nation anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner.

The Battle of New Orleans was the last major battle of the War of 1812. On January 8th, 1815, American forces, commanded by Major General Andrew Jackson defeated the invading British Army.
