Block 39 Thursday: Combat Art

March 22, 2012 @ 2:30 pm

Navy Museum LogoThis new program is designed to bring “bitesized” pieces of naval history and heritage to the enlisted community. Each month’s program will focus on a different topic in naval history through gallery talks and examination of artifacts in The National Museum of the U.S. Navy

In March’s Block 39 Thursday, Combat Art, participants will learn the history of combat artists in the military and their role today, while looking at the newly opened exhibit on combat art, A Sacred Trust. While designed to assist the enlisted community with their “block 39” requirement, all members of the general public and greater U.S.naval community are welcome to attend.

Please visit the National Museum of the United States Navy website for more information.
