Authors and Artifacts Lecture: The War of 1812 – Conflict for a Continent

The Maryland Historical Society is hosting a book-talk on May 10 with J.C.A. Stagg, Professor of History at the University of Virginia and longtime editor-in-chief of the papers of James Madison. He will speak on his new book, The War of 1812 – Conflict for a Continent. This talk will also kick-off the Society’s commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the start of the War of 1812. Wine-and-cheese reception at 5:30, Stagg’s talk (and afterwards, questions from the audience) beginning at 6:00, with the author signing books for those who want to buy. Admission to the event is priced at $35.
