How Can You Help Tell the
Navy's Cold War Story

In addition to recognition within the Gallery, donors will be recognized in a variety of publications and will be guests of honor at ribbon-cutting ceremonies.

In addition to a meditative hall, the Service and Sacrifice exhibit will offer oral history listening stations.

“I believe in the power of our past to inspire and instruct. We are the inheritors of a proud legacy.”

Donor Recognition Opportunities
Founded in 1963, the National Museum of the United States Navy collects, preserves, displays, and interprets naval artifacts and artwork to inform, educate, and inspire naval personnel and the general public. The Navy is preparing a new Cold War Gallery to tell the inspiring yet little-understood story of the roles that the men and women of the Navy played in our nation's 50-year conflict with the Soviet Union. Scheduled to open in 2009, the Cold War Gallery will be a one-of-a-kind educational experience for Americans of all ages.

To raise funding necessary for this initiative, the Navy has asked the Naval Historical Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization, to seek out sponsoring partners who share this vision. Supporters will be recognized by a variety of permanent signage in the Cold War Gallery, based on the donor's giving level.
